Article 133
Where the accused, before the criminal authorities referred to in this Act, raises a claim of invalidity of the complainant's registration certificate, an order staying proceedings pending determination [qarār-e enāteh] shall be issued where acceptable indications and presumptions exist, pursuant to Article 21 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. In such cases, where there is fear that the damage sustained by the complainant will not be secured, the court may take appropriate security from the accused.
Note — In respect of this Article, where it is established that the perpetrator, by raising a baseless claim, intends to prolong the proceedings or inflict greater damage on the complainant, his punishment shall, upon conviction before the criminal authority, be aggravated by one degree.
