Conditions for registration
An industrial design is registrable where it is new and original.
Note 1 — "New" means that it has not been disclosed to the public anywhere in the world, perceptibly through publication or through use in any other manner, before the filing date of the application or, as the case may be, before the priority date of the application for registration.
Note 2 — "Original" means that it was created independently by the designer and is not a copy or imitation of existing designs.
