Article 88

The Registration Authority shall deem the filing date to be the date of receipt of the application. Where the application has deficiencies, a period of one month shall be granted for its correction and completion, provided that it possesses the minimum conditions necessary for acceptance of the application, namely an express or implied request for registration, particulars enabling the identification of, and contact with, the applicant or his representative, and a graphic representation of the industrial design. Where the application has deficiencies and a period is granted for correction, the date of receipt of the corrections shall be deemed the filing date.

Note — If the application lacks the above conditions, the Registration Authority shall refuse the application and, where the contact information of the applicant or his representative is available, shall notify him accordingly.
