Article 134

The industrial property Registration Authority is the State Organization for Registration of Deeds and Properties. Registration of all matters relating to industrial property — including inventions, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks, collective marks, certification marks, trade names, and geographical indications — is carried out in that Organization.

Note 1 — The defense patent certificate shall be issued with the cooperation of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, and the Registration Authority. The process of registration of defense inventions and the manner of cooperation of the said authorities shall be based on regulations prepared, within three months after this Act enters into force, with the cooperation of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Ministry of Defense and Armed Forces Logistics, and the Registration Authority, and approved by the Council of Ministers.

Note 2 — Representation of the Islamic Republic of Iran in matters relating to industrial property before the World Intellectual Property Organization and the unions relating to the conventions connected therewith rests with the Registration Authority.
