Provisions applied from Chapter 1

The provisions of Articles 3 to 10, Note 2 of Article 12, Articles 13 to 15, 20 to 25, 29 to 33, 35, 36, 38, paragraphs 1 to 3 of Article 39, Articles 40 to 50, 53 to 63, Article 64 and its Notes 1 and 3, Articles 65 to 70, the opening part of Article 71, and Articles 72 and 73 of this Act apply, as the case may be, to utility models as well.

Note 1 — All the time limits relating to the registration of a utility model are half of the periods stated in respect of the patent registration process. The ten-day time limits are not subject to this Note.

Note 2 — The priority period under the Paris Convention for the Protection of Industrial Property in respect of utility models is twelve months.
