Article 36

Where the invention is in the form of a product, the economic rights arising from the patent certificate and the exclusive exploitation thereof consist of:

  1. 1.Making
  2. 2.Importation
  3. 3.Offering for sale
  4. 4.Sale and use of the product
  5. 5.Stocking for the purpose of sale, offering for sale, or use of the product

Note — The exploitations set forth in this Article also include genetically manipulated microorganisms subject to the patent certificate that have been obtained, with the intent of commercialization, through propagation or reproduction and possess the same characteristics as claimed in the certificate.

What exclusive rights does a patent give in Iran?
