Product inventions: scope

Where the invention takes the form of a product, the economic rights arising from the patent and the exclusive exploitation thereof are:

  1. 1.Manufacture;
  2. 2.Importation;
  3. 3.Offering for sale;
  4. 4.Sale and use of the product;
  5. 5.Stocking for the purpose of sale or offering for sale or use of the product.

Note — The exploitations set out in this Article also extend to genetically modified microorganisms covered by the patent that are obtained, with commercial intent, through multiplication or reproduction and possess the same characteristics claimed in the patent.
