Transfer of economic rights
The economic rights arising from the filing of a patent application or from a registered invention are transferable, and the owner of the invention may exercise their economic rights in any manner, such as transfer of ownership, grant of a license to exploit, and joint venture. In the transfer of ownership of patent rights or the transfer of the ownership right arising from the filing of an application, all the rights that arise, as the case may be, under the patent or the filing of the relevant application are assigned to another for as long as the invention has legal validity.
Note 1 — Where the contract is silent, the grant of a license to exploit to one person does not bar the grant of a license to exploit to other persons.
Note 2 — During the term of the contract, the transferee may not assign their rights to a third party, unless otherwise stipulated.
