Grounds for lapse

The exclusive rights arising from a registered invention lapse in the following cases:

1. 1.Expiry of the term of validity of the patent;
2. 2.Abandonment;
3. 3.Non-payment of the annual or periodic fee;
4. 4.Invalidation of the patent or invalidation of parts of the relevant claims.Note — The partial lapse of patent rights in this paragraph is limited to the same claim or claims.
