Article · Chapter 1 · The Right to Apply for a Patent
Who may apply
The following persons have the right to apply for a patent:
- 1.The inventor (the person who created the invention), or their legal successor or legal representative;
- 2.The person for whom the invention was made on commission, or their legal successor or representative, subject to the rights of the inventor.Note 1 — Where several persons jointly create an invention, the right to apply for a patent and the rights arising from the patent belong to them jointly.Note 2 — Employees of the Registration Authority may not apply for a patent for themselves or as a representative of another.
