The following persons have the right to apply for patent registration:
- 1.The inventor (the person who has created the invention), or his legal successor or legal representative
- 2.The person on whose commission the invention has been made, or his legal successor or representative, subject to observance of the inventor's rightsNote 1 — Where several persons have jointly created an invention, the right to apply for patent registration and the rights arising from the patent certificate belong to them jointly.Note 2 — Employees of the Registration Authority do not have the right to apply for patent registration for themselves or as representative of another.

Who can apply for a patent in Iran?
