Article 25

The applicant for patent registration may withdraw his application before the patent certificate is issued. Where there are multiple applicants, the request for withdrawal must be made with the consent of all of them. Where the rights in the application have been assigned to a third party, withdrawal of the application is not possible. An interested party may raise his objection to the withdrawal before the Board referred to in Article (23) of this Act.

Note 1 — In the event of withdrawal or refusal of the application or abandonment thereof, the fees paid shall not be refunded.

Note 2 — Where the withdrawn application has formed the basis of other divisional applications, the withdrawal shall have no effect on the subsequent applications, provided that the divisional applications were submitted to the Registration Authority before the date of withdrawal.
