Article 18

The claim or claims must determine the scope of protection of the invention in an articulate, concise, and complete manner, and must not go beyond the framework of the description.

Note — Each of the claims of an invention shall be the basis of evaluation before the Registration Authority and of adjudication of infringement actions before the competent judicial authority.
