The application form

A patent application must be completed on the special form prepared in accordance with the Implementing Regulation of this Act and must contain the following:

1. 1.Identity particulars of the inventor;
2. 2.Identity particulars of the owner (the holder of the economic rights, whether the party who commissioned the invention or the person to whom the economic rights of the invention have been assigned);
3. 3.A description of the invention;
4. 4.An abstract of the description of the invention;
5. 5.The claim or claims of the invention;
6. 6.The drawing(s) (if any);
7. 7.Designation of the class of the invention under the International Patent Classification.Note — Completion of this paragraph is optional.
8. 8.Designation of the annexes.

Note — "Identity" in this Act means, for Iranian nationals, the first name, surname, and national identification number of a natural person, and the name, type, and unique identifier of a legal person; and for foreign nationals, the first name, surname, and address for natural persons, and the name and address for legal persons.
